Deposit Guarantee
The Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation provides a full guarantee on all deposits held at a Saskatchewan credit union.  There is no need to apply for coverage, and there are no limits to the amount of coverage.  Whether your deposit is $100 or 1 million, it is fully guaranteed.  For more information about the guarantee visit the Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation's website at www.cudgc.sk.ca.
    
Membership Shares
We encourage everyone to become a member of Heartland Credit Union.  The nominal $5.00 investment makes you an owner of the credit union.  This means you have an equal say in the overall direction of the credit union by electing a Board of Directors.  A membership would also qualify you to participate in any patronage dividend program approved by the Board of Directors, subject to your dealings with the credit union.  Interest is not paid on the $5.00 investment and it is paid back upon closing of the membership.
